Odoo Technical Lead

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Odoo Implementation Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end implementation and customization of Odoo ERP solutions for clients across various industries. You will act as a technical expert, guiding junior developers, analysing business requirements, and ensuring seamless integration of Odoo modules to optimize business processes. This position requires a strong technical skills in Odoo development and excellent communication abilities to deliver high-quality solutions that drive client success.

Location : Hyderabad-India (Remote)

 Key Responsibilities:

Lead Odoo Implementations: Oversee the full lifecycle of Odoo ERP projects, from initial client consultations and requirements gathering to deployment, testing, and post-go-live support. Customize Odoo modules (e.g., CRM, Accounting, Inventory, Manufacturing, HR) to align with client-specific needs.

Development and Customization: Design, develop, and maintain custom Odoo modules using Python, XML, and JavaScript. Integrate third-party applications, APIs, and databases to enhance functionality.

Team Leadership and Mentoring: Mentor junior consultants and developers, conduct code reviews, and foster best practices in Odoo development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders.

Business Analysis and Solution Design: Analyse client business processes, identify gaps, and propose optimized solutions using Odoo. Create technical specifications, workflows, and prototypes.

Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources. Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on schedule. Handle risk assessment and mitigation.

Client Interaction: Conduct training sessions for end-users, provide ongoing support, and troubleshoot issues. Build strong client relationships to identify opportunities for upselling or additional services.

Quality Assurance and Optimization: Perform system audits, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., data security, GDPR). Stay updated on Odoo updates and new features.

Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed documentation, user manuals, and progress reports. Contribute to knowledge base and internal process improvements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Odoo implementation and development (versions 16+ preferred). Proven track record leading at least 3-5 full-cycle Odoo projects in a senior or lead capacity.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, XML, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and Odoo's ORM framework.
• Expertise in Odoo modules customization, workflow automation, and report generation using QWeb.
• Experience with Odoo Enterprise and Community editions, including migration from older versions.
• Knowledge of integration tools (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs, Odoo connectors for e-commerce platforms like Shopify or WooCommerce).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.

 Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the capacity to work independently or in a team. Leadership experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Certifications: Odoo certification (e.g., Odoo Functional or Technical Consultant) is highly desirable.

Other Requirements: Willingness to travel for client onsite implementations (if required). Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Experience in specific industries such as manufacturing, retail, or e-commerce.

Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) for Odoo hosting.

Background in business process re-engineering or ERP systems beyond Odoo.
